Angels Walk Wilshire
This street bears the name of socialist entrepreneur Henry Gaylord Wilshire. The original Wilshire Boulevard was a dirt road just four miles long, but became a 15.8-mile boulevard that goes from Downtown to the Pacific Ocean. This Angels Walk focuses on the two-mile stretch between Alvarado and Western. Lush parks, elegant apartment buildings and department stores, stately mansions and a fine hotel, all once graced this street and some remain as this boulevard undergoes another historic renewal.
